1. New Customers

Placing an order with gooselane.com is easy. There’s no need to create an account first. You‘ll do that while placing your first order online

Find Items: First, you’ll need to browse or search for the items you’d like to order. Quick Search boxes are located on nearly every page of our website. Also, you’ll find links to browse lists and more detailed product-specific searches in the navigation bar of various sections. When you find an item that interests you, click the title or name of the item to see more information.

Add Items to Your Shopping Cart: If you want to order an item, click the “Add to Shopping Cart” button on the right side of the product detail page. Use the cart’s top navigation bar or the “Continue Shopping” button to keep searching or browsing until your cart contains all the items you want to order. You may access the contents of your Shopping Cart at any time by clicking the Shopping Cart at the top of every page of our website. As you add new items, or if you adjust the quantity of books ordered, press the update button to bring your shopping cart contents up to date.

Removing items from your Shopping Cart: If you want to remove an item from your order, simply type 0 in the quantity box of the title you wish to remove, and press the update button. The title should be removed from the list of your cart contents.

Proceed to Checkout: Take a moment to review the items you’ve placed in your Shopping Cart. When you’re ready to your order, click the “Checkout” button. You’ll be taken to the first page of the order form.

Sign In: Enter your e-mail address, indicate that you’re a new customer, and click the "Sign In" button. (Keep in mind that the e-mail address you provide here will be the only e-mail address to which we can send information about subsequent orders.) Do not fill in the password field. You’ll be asked to provide a password for your account later in the process.

Provide a Password: Associate a password with your account. When you come back to gooselane.com in the future, you can use the same shipping address and method of payment you provided during this first order. Make sure you write your password down somewhere, so you remember it the next time you place an order.

Enter a Shipping Address: Tell us where you’d like to ship your order.

Select a Shipping Method: Consider how quickly you’d like to receive your order and choose a shipping method. We’ll estimate shipment and delivery dates for you on the order form, as well as in the order confirmation e-mail you’ll receive after placing your order.

Next, let us know how you’d like to pay for your order. We accept PayPal, MasterCard, and Visa. When entering your credit card information, please enter the number without spaces or dashes.

Verify and Confirm Your Order: Verify the accuracy of all the information you provided, and make any necessary adjustments. When you’re ready, click the “Next” button to submit your order. After you place your order, we’ll send you an order receipt via e-mail. Your order should ship within 48-hours of confirmation.

2. Pricing

Prices on every item in our website are listed in Canadian dollars. We do not have a currency converter on line, but there are several websites that provide this service.

We cannot confirm the price of an item until you order, but please note that we do not charge your credit card until your order enters the shipping process. Despite our best efforts, a small number of the items in our catalogue may be mispriced. Rest assured, however, that we verify prices as part of our shipping procedures.

3. Tax

The amount of tax charged depends on many factors, including the destination of the shipment and the type of item purchased. All items shipped to destinations in Canada are subject to Canadian Goods and Services Tax (GST). In addition, the GST will be applied to shipping charges for all Canadian addresses, with the exception of those shipments destined for New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland, and Ontario. Shipping charges for shipments destined to those locations will be subject to Harmonized Sales Tax (HST). Books are exempt from Provincial Sales Tax (PST) and the provincial portion of HST.

Orders sent to addresses outside Canada are not subject to Canadian GST or HST, but they may be subject to local taxes and customs charges.

GST-Exempt Customers/Provincial Governments: If you’re a provincial-government department, Crown Corporation, board, commission, or agency that’s eligible to make purchases without paying GST, please place your order with us by fax. You’ll also need to provide us with the following information:


4. Availability
The following is a list of the several types of availability estimates you might see for items on our web site:

Most orders will ship within 48 hours of the date on which items are in stock.

The availability estimate does not include the time your order will take to reach you once we ship it. Shipping time depends upon the shipping option you choose.

Ordering multiple copies? Please be aware that our availability estimates are intended for single-copy orders. Orders for many copies of the same item may take longer to assemble.
We will inform you by e-mail if any items in your order prove to be unavailable.

5. Payment Methods

We accept PayPal, MasterCard, and Visa. When entering your credit card information, please enter the number without spaces or dashes.

You may enter your entire credit card number safely via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information. To provide you with an additional layer of security, we do not store credit card numbers on our server. After you type your complete credit card number, it is transferred to a secure server.

The amount of your order will be authorized and reserved on your credit card. Once your order is processed, the transaction will be confirmed, and your order shipped within 48 hours. We’ll be in touch if we experience any difficulties with your credit card order.

6. Shipping

Domestic shipping: gooselane.com ships most orders via the postal service. This is a trackable service, and at most times of the year, shipments should reach their destination within 5-7 business days in Canada. Faster shipping methods are also available for a surcharge. International shipping: gooselane.com can ship orders to most international addresses via the postal service. International packages may be subject to the customs fees and import duties of the country to which you have your order shipped. Any customs or duty charges will be the responsibility of the recipient.

FREE Shipping: How do I take advantage of FREE Shipping?

Note: Free shipping applies only to orders with more than $50 worth of merchandise sent to a single Canadian address. We reserve the right to change or discontinue FREE Shipping at any time.

7. Returns and Refunds

Within 30 days of delivery of your shipment, you may return any of the items shipped to you in your order if they are received in a defective or damaged condition for refund or replacement. Please note that all returns must be accompanied by a copy of the original packing slip or invoice and a note indicating the nature of the problem and a request for a replacement or a refund.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept the return of items returned more than 30 days following the original delivery date.
